It’s a pain most of us have felt when updating Java. As soon as you agree, you realise. It’s installing some crapware along with your legitimate software. This especially seems to happen with Adobe. But there is a relatively easy way to stop java installing other software. Let me walk you through it.
Firstly, press the windows key and then type Java. The first option should be the Java control panel, like below, do hit enter to open it.
Ok, now you should be in the Java control panel. On the tabs at the top, hit advanced. Next scroll all the way down to miscellaneous. Under this should be an option “suppress sponsor offers when installing or updating Java”. Tick it and click apply. It’s done. Simple as that. No more having to uninstall bloatware you never wanted.
