How To: Remove a Dent From a Car Bumper in 10 Minutes

How to remove a dent from a car bumper in 10 minutes cover

Today we’re going to talk about how to remove a dent from a car bumper. But first. Let me clarify. I mean newer car bumpers here. As in, the last 20ish years. If your car has steel or metal bumpers, this advice is not for you.

However, most car bumpers are made from a type of plastic. Which is easy to dent. And, after you’ve read this post, easy to fix. No tools or prior knowledge necessary. You see, as you can see from the video below, all you need is heat and patience. Pour hot water on to the effected area and allow the bumper to warm up. It might take a few trips and a little patience but eventually, you should be able to pop the bumper back into its original shape. A hairdryer can achieve the same effect, but just be careful not to hold it in one place too long or the bumper paint can bubble.

Once you have managed to remove the dent, check the paint. If you’re lucky, the dent won’t have creased or chipped any paint off. Potentially saving you a whole heap of cash for ten minutes of work. Now you can go about your day without the worry of a big repair bill.
