This infographic from changeinseconds is frankly amazing. It’s too good not to share. As someone who decided to get healthy a few years ago, I would have loved this.
However, there are a few things I would add. It states not to count calories at the top. If all you are doing is eating clean and you exercise regularly, great. But if you are new to eating clean and don’t know a great deal about calorific content, not so good. For me, I would grab an app like myfitnesspal and enter your numbers for each meal. Really learn about the calorific content of foods.
Also, remember life is for living. Although eating clean is great and you will feel much better, allow yourself a cheat meal. Heck, allow yourself the occasional cheat day. Because life will get in the way. Parties, weddings, holidays. They all exist. As long as you don’t do it too often, don’t beat yourself up.
