Here’s how you get completely free unlimited cloud storage. Don’t worry, there are no sign ups or surveys or any other nonsense like that. It’s also not some flaky company that will delete your data in 6 months time. Everything you need is provided by Google.
Most of us have a google account. If you have an android phone, a Youtube profile or a Gmail account, you have a google account. Which means you already have Google Drive. But, did you know that with Google Drive, you get 15 GB of storage free? So what, you might be thinking. That’s not a completely free unlimited cloud storage option, is it? Well no. But hear me out.
If you have lots of pictures and videos, 15 GB is nothing. However, if you use Google Photos to store your pictures and videos, you can effectively combine the two programs to create free unlimited cloud storage.
Basically, you use your Google Drive account to store spreadsheets, word documents and PDF’s. Essentially only office documents. They take up very little space, so 15GB of storage is massive. You then use Google Photos to save all your videos and pictures. All you have to do is remember to set them to high quality in the settings. This is the crucial part, by setting the photos to high quality, Google effectively gives you completely unlimited storage. Don’t believe me? Here’s a screenshot from their terms and conditions.
Completely free unlimited cloud storage
There you have it. Unlimited cloud storage for free. Not only that, but because it’s Google, you should never lose your data. It also has the added advantage of being able to sync and backup across all your devices and enable you to access your files from anywhere. With Microsoft having recently nerfed their free storage to a paltry 5 GB, this is probably the best option out there to grab as much free storage as possible.
